Do I wish it was RWD/AWD with a V8 option to make a proper Jeep Grand Cherokee competitor ? Of course! But it looks better than the Traverse and way better than the Equinox or Trax. I'm curious to see how it drives.

it would be even better with all that and a ZR2 off road package

It looks like a giant potato wearing Usain Bolt’s clothes.

I think it’s really attractive in the same way that the CH-R is attractive. Sportiness works well on these crossovers imo.

I also really like it. I do agree it has some Lexus elements but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And while we give Lexus crap for it, it sells like crazy.
I also like how people say Chevy killed the Blazer with this. No, they killed the S10 Blazer and then the Trailblazer.

I hate hate hate hate it!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I’m gonna lose my mind. Why does anyone on Oppo and Jalopnik like this!! It’s everything we hate! Why am I yelling! Am I the only one with any sense left? or am I the only crazy man in a world of sane people!?!??!? I'm gonna get some sleep and pretend this never happened.

How much do you want to bet that the second generation will be RWD based because of the Explorer going back to RWD

Yeah, I get not bringing over the Colorado based Trailblazer. Don’t want to take Tahoe sales.
This will probably sell well even though it's just a short Traverse

Lexus and Hyundai clearly had a hand in America’s next iteration of the humble station wagon. That’s nice.

The front is nice. There’s a reason why Jalopnik didn’t post any pictures of the rear.

So it’s unattractive.

And I think its a better step than the Equinox. Though I do agree with you, I wish it had a bit more 4x4 ruggedness like the Grand Cherokee (even though 99% of those never see dir t). Would be nice to have a v8 but the 2.8L Duramax would be a good option as well. Even so the 3.6 v6 is no slouch and better than the Pentastar v6 thats stock in the GC
